Scroll is a Scripture-reading app from TheWay. We built it to help you spend time in the Word — not to harvest your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Scroll is operated by TheWay ("we," "us," "our"). You can reach us any time at dillon@branddesignco.com. This policy covers the Scroll mobile app and the website at scroll.thewaybible.app.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create a free account, we collect your name and email address so we can save your progress and sign you in.
Phone number (optional). If you choose to opt in to text updates, we collect your phone number. This is entirely optional — the app works fully without it, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
Usage & device data. Like most apps, we collect basic, aggregated analytics — the screens and content you view, taps, and general device/browser information — to understand what's helpful and improve Scroll. This data is not used to identify you personally.
On-device data. Your saved verses, reading streak, and preferences are stored locally on your device (and synced to your account if you're signed in).

We do not collect payment card details ourselves. If you subscribe, payment is handled by our payment processor (see below), and we never see or store your full card number.

How we use your information

To create and maintain your account and save your reading progress.
To provide app features and personalize your feed of Scripture content.
To send you occasional text messages only if you opted in, and transactional emails related to your account.
To understand usage in aggregate and improve the app.
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers we use

We share limited information with trusted providers who help us run Scroll, only as needed to provide the service:

Supabase — secure account authentication and data storage.
Google Analytics — aggregated, privacy-respecting usage analytics.
Meta Pixel — measures the effectiveness of our ads so we reach the right people.
GoHighLevel — manages account communication and optional text messages.
Stripe — processes subscription payments securely (if you choose to subscribe).

Each provider maintains its own privacy and security practices.

Your choices & rights

Access or delete your data. Email us at dillon@branddesignco.com and we'll provide a copy of, or delete, your account data.
Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately.
Analytics. You can limit tracking through your device or browser settings.

Children's privacy

Scroll is intended for a general audience and is rated 4+. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.

Data retention & security

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active, and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information from our active systems.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated within the app or by email.
